Image a large plume of smoke in the distance with hills and trees with small amounts of snow in between the photographer and the smoke. Written on the back of the image is: "Big Fire in Canada. Taken from Bugle Ridge. 1931. Ernest Grambo was assigned job of building trail and telephone to top. Summer of 1931. Assisted by Cecil Stevens until he cut his leg. Later by Ken Nelson. Had a tent camp at Wter hole 1 1/2 miles from top. Kaniksu National Forest" |
